Jammu & Kashmir

The crown of India, This state is bounded on the north by Afghanistan and china, on the east by Tibet, on the west by Pakistan and on the south by Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Jammu and Kashmir are tourist paradise. The state is studded with number of hill station offering the tourist a leisurely or adventurous holiday amidst breath-taking scenery. The state has a very rich history and a distinct culture. It has some of the most sacred temples, mosques, monasteries and lanes. Agriculture is the mainstay of the state economy. 
Second important occupation is the tradition of crafting paper machine, wood carving, carpet and shawl making. Kashmiri handicrafts are exported world over. The state is often referred to as the "paradise on earth".
